What data we collect

When you use PageCraft, we collect the minimum information needed to provide the service:

• Email address — used to identify your account and authenticate you. We do not send marketing emails.
• Photos you upload — stored securely in our cloud storage so we can build your photo book. We do not use your photos for any purpose other than generating your book.

How your photos are stored

Your photos are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket. They are never publicly accessible — each photo is served via a signed URL that expires after one hour. Photos are not shared with other users or third parties, except as described below.

Third-party services

To power PageCraft's AI features, we pass your photos and captions to the following services:

• OpenAI — used to apply artistic style filters (manga, watercolor, oil painting, etc.) to your photos via the gpt-image-1 API. OpenAI's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.
• HuggingFace / Novita — used to generate photo captions and suggest chronological ordering via the Qwen2.5-VL model. Their data handling is governed by their respective privacy policies.
• Supabase — used for database storage (your email, book metadata) and photo file storage. Supabase's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data retention

Your photos and book data are retained as long as your account is active. When you delete a book, all associated photos are permanently removed from storage. If you would like your entire account deleted, contact us at the email below and we will remove your data within 30 days.

Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymised product analytics (e.g., how many books are created, how many exports happen). No personally identifiable information is included in these events. You can opt out by disabling JavaScript or using a browser extension that blocks analytics.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@pagecraft.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of PageCraft after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
